Multilayer full-flow Safety fittings: the key to efficiency and reliability in Australia’s Hunter Valley

Safety Aquatechnik multilayer fittings continue to redefine the standard for plumbing solutions, offering unmatched performance in a variety of applications. A recent project in the picturesque Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia, demonstrates how these fittings can integrate perfectly into state-of-the-art systems to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability. Thanks to the excellent management of our partner Aquatechnik Austrialia (link), and the installation of Plumbingear, the project included geothermal and underfloor heating, pool water management, domestic water systems and connections to fancoils to ensure year-round comfort.

Geothermal systems: maximum energy efficiency and durability with multilayer fittings

Hunter Valley’s installation integrates a geothermal system that powers both underfloor heating and fancoils for excellent energy efficiency. Safety’s multilayer PPS fittings were essential to ensure a constant fluid flow throughout the system. Unlike conventional fittings, which often cause flow reductions and pressure losses, Safety maintains the same cross-sectional area at the pipe-fittings point. This feature reduces pump stress, minimizes energy consumption and improves overall system efficiency.

Furthermore, the durability and strength of Aquatechnik fittings ensure lasting performance, even in demanding systems such as geothermal systems.

Even heating distribution and lasting performance with underfloor heating

For the underfloor heating system installed in Australia, Valurapid PA-M modular manifolds were used, which combine the advantage of modularity with the patented Safety joining system. The Valurapid manifolds are available in versions with micrometric lockshields, with flow meters and with manual valves for shutting off and regulating individual zones.

In addition, Safety’s long-lasting performance is an important advantage for radiant floor heating systems. The manifolds, fittings and multilayer pipes are designed to withstand the wear and tear of continuous operation and to be durable and resistant to the pressures and temperatures typical of these applications.

Corrosion resistance and efficient water circulation for pools

The project’s pool system also benefited significantly from the use of Safety full flow fittings. A key feature in this application is the ability of the fittings to provide efficient water circulation, while maintaining constant water temperature and quality.

With reduced pressure drops, the system works efficiently, helping to keep the pool temperature stable and reducing pressure on the pumps.

Safety system is also resistant to corrosion. Pools are subject to exposure to aggressive chemicals, which over time can compromise common, metal fittings.

Domestic water distribution: safe, reliable and efficient delivery

With Safety, the domestic water supply system in the Australian project can rely on a safe and reliable water supply throughout the property. Fittings create airtight seals that prevent leakage, ensuring a continuous supply of clean, potable water to all outlets. In addition, the multilayer Safety fittings composed entirely of polymeric material, even in the threads, are completely lead-free and have no metal parts in contact with drinking water.

Fancoil systems: improved performance and reduced noise levels

The fancoil system installed in the Hunter Valley project takes advantage of Safety to ensure better heating and cooling performance. Fancoils are designed to regulate indoor temperature by circulating heated or cooled air, and the efficiency of this system depends largely on a constant flow of fluid through the pipes. Aquatechnik fittings facilitate this task by minimizing pressure drops, for optimal performance all year round.

By eliminating turbulence and pressure fluctuations that often lead to noise, Safety contributes to a quieter and more comfortable home environment.

Versatile and innovative system solutions for any installation

Safety’s multilayer full-flow fittings have been essential for installation in the Hunter Valley, offering multiple benefits for every type of system. From geothermal and underfloor heating to pool water management, domestic water supply and fancoils, the system provides the highest levels of efficiency, durability and safety.

The Australian project continues to demonstrate Aquatechnik’s capacity for innovation, in this case with the Safety system, used from diameter 16 to 63 mm, to integrate seamlessly with modern, energy efficient and sustainable technologies.
